How we collect, use, and protect your information.

When you create a Study Junior account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. When you share a learning story, we collect your name, email address, story, any photos or videos you choose to upload, and your publication preference. If you express interest in donating, we collect your required contact details, intended amount and currency, organization name when applicable, and anonymity preference so our team can follow up. For student profiles, we collect the student's first name, grade level, and learning preferences. We also collect usage data such as lessons completed, scores, time spent, and device information to improve the learning experience.
We use your information to provide and improve Study Junior's services, personalise learning paths, track progress, and communicate with you about your account. We never sell your personal data to third parties. We list the names of people and organizations whose donations have been received, unless they choose to remain anonymous. Donor email addresses and phone numbers are never published. Learning stories and their photos or videos are sent privately to our team; we may feature the story, attachments and author’s first name only when they have given permission. Story authors’ email addresses are never published. Usage data helps us understand how students learn best so we can build better lessons.
We take children's privacy extremely seriously. Study Junior complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), the GDPR-K provisions for children's data, and equivalent data-protection laws in the jurisdictions where we operate. Student profiles are managed by parents or guardians. We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the learning service. We never display advertising to children or share children's data with third parties.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We store data on secure servers with strict access controls. Offline data stored on your device is encrypted using industry-standard methods. We conduct regular security reviews and follow best practices for data protection.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account deletion, we remove all personal information within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.
Study Junior uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use local storage (IndexedDB) to enable offline learning. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that identify individual users. You can clear local data through your browser settings at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your child's learning progress at any time. You may withdraw consent for data processing by closing your account. For any privacy-related requests, contact us at [email protected] and we'll respond within 14 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Study Junior after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
